Into the Woods- Baker's Wife

Costume design for the Baker's Wife from Into the Woods. From the Left: This design is based on a traditional fairy tale style. She has a simple cotton or linen dress with a corset. She's holding her scarf/handkerchief. The middle is based on a Regency/Napoleonic era style. I chose this based on the fact that the Grimm brothers were collecting the stories during that time period. A linen dress with a cotton jacket and a straw hat with satin ribbon. The design on the right was done just for fun in the style of the Final Fantasy games. I based the dress off a design from FF9. She ended up looking like a waitress, which kind of works... Micron pen and Tombow markers on watercolor paper.
